It's about building relationships, creating a positive culture and enjoying the journey together.
That's why, from time to time, members of the Banning team get together away from the clinic for something a little different — a good old-fashioned game of football!
Our Banning football matches bring colleagues together from across the business, giving everyone the opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, have some fun and, of course, enjoy a bit of friendly competition.
There's something about football that naturally brings people together. Communication, teamwork, trust and a little bit of healthy competition are all part of the game — qualities that are just as important in our working environment.
Whether you're scoring the winning goal, making a last-minute tackle or simply trying to survive the 90 minutes, everyone has a role to play!
More importantly, these sessions give colleagues the chance to spend time together in a relaxed environment, get to know people from different areas of Banning and strengthen relationships outside of their usual working roles.

We know that when people feel connected to the wider team, it can have a positive impact on the workplace too.
Our football matches are one of the ways we encourage that sense of connection. They provide an opportunity to laugh together, compete together and create memories away from the clinic — helping to build the strong team spirit that we want to be part of the Banning culture.
And while nobody takes the score too seriously… there is definitely plenty of banter!
Of course, there is always a competitive edge.
Different teams, different abilities and plenty of opinions on who should be playing where make for an entertaining evening. But ultimately, it's about participation, having fun and enjoying some time together.
For us, wellbeing isn't only about what happens inside our clinics. Encouraging our people to get active, socialise and take time away from work is another important part of creating a positive working environment.

The fixtures may change, the teams may change and the scoreline may be forgotten — but the team spirit remains.
We're looking forward to plenty more Banning football matches, more friendly rivalry and, hopefully, a few more goals along the way.
Because at Banning, being part of the team means more than working together.
It means being part of something together.
